Geese in Construction
So I was going the back roads and in Maryland they are building the Inter-County Connector that connects Prince Georges and Montgomery County north of the Capital Beltway. But the geese wander over in droves on the weekend.
It's a bit dusty.

Just Geese
Geese around and about town. They're still on land and water.

The turtles were sunning themselves on the rocks.
The robin chirping.
The ducks swimming.

So I was driving around on the by ways. It was a hot day the ducks had a good idea.

I had bought the new lens and I'm still trying to get the hang of it. I have to get use to the weight of the thing. I also have to learn how to lift the thing.
Super Moon at Greenbelt Lake
So I was out on the lake with a lot of other people to shoot the super moon.
Mostly Heron Study
So I finally got a new lens for my camera to give me a little bit more range and not to disturb the birds. So I tried it by going to the pond near the road. The heron looks a little punk but it was focus on preening and cleaning.
As you can see the bird is not paying any attention to me.
By the way the Canada Geese are molting and so will be earthbound for a while.
Weekend Meanderings – 2013 June 9
So one of the things people are surprised about when they come to my neighborhood is how green it is. We have a lot of green spaces here and we are just off the most congested roadways in the United States. Goes to show that if you’re observant you can find the wild spaces.
So as Iowa s strolling, a community of Canada Geese were also strolling and munching along we’re there offspring. One of the little fellas dare to look at the camera.
Continuing to stroll near a pond that’s close by, a Blue heron is basking and munching.
The heron decided to take off …
But not very far …
Got picked on … But the heron stayed.
