Just wandering about …
This is Hanover Parkway Pond. It’s a pretty place no? It seems to attract waterfowl and all matter of birds.
The newest arrival is the cormorant a juvenile. The fishing and the eating must be good.
it’s summer and the Heron comes regularly to the pond to get a snack or two.
The heron is sometimes hard to get in focus.
These goslings are growing. The pond is the home of three set geese families with a total of about twenty goslings!
The thin yellow line.
There were ducklings also.
Tit was nice day and there were many birds and a turtle or two at the pond.
So this was a good sunny day and this old fellow was having a ball fetching a stick in the pond.
So goslings and their adults were everywhere in the lakes and ponds of Northern PG County including here in the pond beside the the Laurel Lakes.
Oh and the goose below is to my thinking the mayor of the Laurel Lakes been around along time.
Well, it finally happened Spring came and how do I know: Goslings!
The Canada Geese are out and about with their young. And the parents are ensuring their safety.
The Pond is slowly getting back to its usual activity the waterfowl are coming back, the turtles and the swallows. It must be spring!
Now I title this: A Goose, a turtle and a duck sounds like the beginning of a story …
and there is this little fella
So at the end …
Boy are these turtles chummy … I wonder if they know they are climbing on other turtles.
Now here are Firefoxes … yep the browser mascot. They’re really red pandas.
One in a tree.
And one on the ground.
And off I go and walk out the zoo.
Guess what it’s spring … finally.
