Just wandering about …
So a friend and I went on a day trip to St. Michaels across the Chesapeake Bay to be on the water and go to the Maritime Museum. If you’re every around the area. It’s worth the trip.

There are a lot of sail boats . People like to sail on the weekends.
But some people have a need for speed.
As I said early there’s a Maritime Museum at St. Michaels. They restored an old light house and I’ll just share a few with you. You can click on any of the shots and see more.

And you didn’t think I would snap a picture of a bird or two. The one below is an Osprey nest. They like it.

So it was a pleasant afternoon nice and warm the flowers bursting. And the little birds were feeding at the pond.
So the geese during the 4th of July Weekend were testing their flying capabilities. They didn’t go to far. Canada Geese during the breeding season molt their flight feathers. So like the young they are grounded for a few months. Here are some shots at some practice runs. They’re a bit of blur but you get the drift.
Summer finally arrived on the east coast just in time for the 4th of July weekend.
The families are gathering into the pond.
The flowers are blooming.
Guests are coming
So there’s a college town just outside the Capital Beltway in the DC area. Lots of students getting ready for the summer break. The birds are getting ready too. But if you drive around you might be surprise what kind of stuff you see…
So when the spring came late and the summer will be around the corner and the goslings are in the tweens no longer goslings but not quite geese. I believe you can see how the ugly duckling narrative came to be. But I think they are coming along quite nicely.
