Sunday Strolls … it’s a habit to take … just walk around/drive around and see what you’ll find. You never know sometimes you find odd things. Like a turtle in a sea of green.

As you can see, it’s nice to have a pond in a suburban setting things start slowing down. The heron and the ducks are already here.
The geese are arriving in patches to take a rest in the relative safety.

School House Pond – 20140803
Sometimes I travel around Prince George’s County. This summer’s weekend I went to the county seat. In front of one of the administration building is a pond. There were Canada Geese doing their ablutions and a white heron in the pond also.
I could get really close to the Canada Geese and I could here them. They made a low rumble as the clean their feathers. They look peaceful.

The geese were doing their evening ablutions at the pond.

It was a lazy Sunday afternoon when I decided to drive around to get some picture. It was a warm, hot day. And the geese where taking in some shade.
The nearly by farm were rolling the hay.
The turtles were enjoying the sun on a rock.
And plants were ready to pop!
