Christmas Day 2014

It is becoming a tradition that I always take a picture of the geese. It was a relatively cold day. But the geese always makes it better.

So the weather was turning colder. The colors shift to more muted tones only the birds brighten the color palette. The gulls were flying in and out. So much that one gull looked put almost saying to the gliding gull “watch where you’re landing. ”

The female merganser looks kind of punk.

Winter is here and the Advent Season Begins – 20141207

So we arrive in the month of December many of the flocks congregate at Laurel Lake.

The mallards are here taking in the sun.

So Veteran’s Day always is odd weather wise here it foreshadows the winter and the birds that normally aren’t here in the spring, summer are arriving.

Like hooded mergansers, the sometimes hang around with the mallards. They’re not as noisy.

Mechanicus Brontosaurus It’s Mechanicus Brontosaurus. It’s mostly seen near roadways and eats asphalt.
