Just wandering about …
It is becoming a tradition that I always take a picture of the geese. It was a relatively cold day. But the geese always makes it better.
So the weather was turning colder. The colors shift to more muted tones only the birds brighten the color palette. The gulls were flying in and out. So much that one gull looked put almost saying to the gliding gull “watch where you’re landing. ”

The female merganser looks kind of punk.

The bright blues of the mallard contrast against the rocks.
And the puffed up mergansers swimming.
It was not warm and would hint that December would be cold. Hopefully not snowy. But the Kingfisher was taking a snack.
and Merganser Ducks were swimming.

So soon the holiday season approaches. First, Thanksgiving and then the Advent season reaching the excitement of Christmas. My time with the birds compete with the holiday preparations. But I make time …
With a energetic gull …
And geese foraging for the odd tidbit.
The gulls are back in earnest.
The leaves are blowing away.
And these little guys are hanging around. The weather has become chilly.
So Veteran’s Day always is odd weather wise here it foreshadows the winter and the birds that normally aren’t here in the spring, summer are arriving.
Like hooded mergansers, the sometimes hang around with the mallards. They’re not as noisy.
One of these days, I will get a sharp images of geese landing but not today …
Sometimes my friends tease me that I only shoot birds. I retort in a lion was at the ponds and lakes I shoot in and I capture it too. Of course, I would be in a safe place, but look … I found a wild creature …
It’s Mechanicus Brontosaurus. It’s mostly seen near roadways and eats asphalt.
But seriously, sometimes the little fellas are interesting.
Plus the turtles and the ducks
With the wind, winter and fall are deciding who takes the lead … I’m thinking winter. November around here gets a bit interesting. Hints of winter start showing up.
and you can sense the ducks are having an interesting time …
It turned out that the month of October was a bit chilly for me … The birds managed fine..
