Lost in Central Park in New York – October 16, 2012
After I went to St. Patrick's Cathedral, I decide to go Central Park one of the major green spaces in one of the most urban cities in the world!
While walking west to east in Central Park I was just letting my feet take to and fro.
So I started from the west-side and who knew there was a marathon going on
Lots of folks running and I trying to get across to the Belvedere Castle. I did figure out how to cross and I made a dash. Or what I think is a dash.
So I walked through the Shakespeare's Garden flora that would be consistent to the flora that would have been present during the Bard's time.
But I began hearing oriental music, it was man playing a wonderful string instrument which I guess is the equivalent of a cello. It was very pleasant.
Now the Belvedere Castle is an odd building it has mix moded architectural elements with very narrow internal steps much like the castles in Europe. It is the highest point in Central Park and has a weather instruments up top.
So there are a lot of turtles in the above pond, which is why it's called Turtle Pond. The turtles are more organized than the humans.
Of course there are geese.
And the horse drawn carriages…
