The View Outside the Window



In these economic times there is a great need for those who are perceived by others living at the margins of society. We pass them by and avert our eyes because we don’t really want to see them. We don’t want to pity them and then shame comes over us. Then the shame turns to anger not at us but to those people for making us feel ashamed.

Yet we should that our shame and guilt and convert it to action. What action when even we may not have the resources to help? Prayer. If you ask the Lord for help to help the helpless and forgotten you’ve done a great deal. The Lord hears the most truly prayerful and understands the petitioner as well as the focus of the petition.

So please pray for those forgotten people in a matter appropriate to you.
